A sustainable development project for Luxembourg

The Luxembourg government in 2007 decided to develop a now and effective national sustainability strategy ; SERI Germany has been coaching the process ever since. In Spring 2009 the new strategy was adopted by the cabinet and published to stimulate a public discussion which will feed back into the final text. After re-election, the Luxembourg government highlighted then importance of sustainability by reorganizing the administration and creating a ministry of sustainability and infrastructure. An application to EuroStat for developing specific national sustainability indicators was successful. The project is ongoing.
